“Curtin&Co have helped us to win the hearts and minds of the local community by effective communication of our development vision to the people that matter. They have achieved this by getting us in front of the right local politicians and key stakeholders and managing the messaging with an expertise that comes from understanding what is important to them.”

Scott Black - Director, Crest Nicholson

"Castleoak have been working closely with Curtin&Co on a number of important and high profile projects.  Their work with politicians and communities shows a clear and comprehensive understanding of our sector and their ability to explain the nature and benefits of our proposals has been important in securing local support."

Mel Knight - Executive Chairman, Castleoak Group

Curtin&Co was proud to be part of the team that secured the largest speculative office development in Watford in a generation. Promoted by Clarendon Road Developments, the 120k sq ft grade A office accommodation includes a roof cafe & public plaza. The commercial development is also supported by 154 residential units in an elegant glazed tower rising to 23 storeys which will provide an iconic visual focus for Watford’s expanding business district. Developer Nigel Berney said, “Curtin&Co made a real difference to the consultation process whether it was dealing with existing tenants, residents or local councillors”.

"Curtin&Co were of immense help, they understood the political spectrum and harnessed relationships which I am sure were valuable at committee. I was most impressed at their confidence in the 11th hour prior to committee, whereby they advised not to lobby any further. The application before mine was refused and it was apparent last minute lobbying by the applicant was detrimental to their submission. Excellent work."

"Curtin&Co’s analysis of local politics and the dynamics of the planning committee was spot on and very useful. Their programme of community consultation helped to ameliorate local concerns and possible opposition, helping us to take a scheme which was initially met with resistance from officers to unanimous approval at committee."

Jo Allen - Chief Executive, Frogmore

Curtin&Co was delighted to be part of Fairview’s team which secured a consent for a 76 unit scheme in Camden. The application was complemented by Planning Committee Members who approved the scheme 10 votes to 2. Congratulations to all involved.

“Student accommodation schemes can be extremely controversial. Prior to Curtin&Co’s involvement, our previous student accommodation application was refused by members. From this, we understood the need for political and community engagement. I appointed Curtin&Co and from the beginning was impressed with their effective consultation. The ward members were originally negative however by the end they actively supported the proposals. Curtin&Co engaged with the student population to generate positive support. This included meeting with the President and Student Accommodation Officer of the University’s Student Union and canvassing local students to provide tangible evidence of a local need for greater student accommodation. At the same Planning Committee meeting, a student application was refused whereas my scheme was supported by members unanimously. I think this demonstrates how effective Curtin&Co’s approach was and would recommend other developers to use Curtin&Co.”

“We were highly impressed with the insight Curtin&Co gave to the local political landscape and the impetus which this gave to securing a contentious planning permission at RAF Wyton in the face of significant resistance from some local Parish Councils. We’d highly recommend Curtin and Co to anyone seeking to secure strategic development proposals.”
